I've been following the Cesario Campos Davila case, and one thing that just sticks with me is the role of those human smugglers in these tragedies. It’s infuriating how they treat people as disposable once things get tough. Reading about how Davila was just left behind after fainting is a chilling reminder of that. It’s hard to believe anyone could be so callous. These smugglers know the territory, the dangers, and yet still abandon people in crisis. Makes you wonder what kind of vetting goes on in these groups or if there’s any sense of accountability. It raises so many questions about what can be done to prevent more cases like Davila's from happening. Is anyone else following up on how authorities track and regulate these smugglers? Any leads that have surfaced recently?
