I'm honestly so puzzled by the whole sovereign citizen angle that Dwayne Reid took during his trial. It seems like such a bizarre defense strategy, and I can't help but wonder if it was just an attempt to delay proceedings or a genuine belief on his part. It must have been incredibly frustrating for Lamont Smith's family to witness these delays while waiting for justice for their loved one. I really hope they feel some sense of justice, even if the motive behind such a senseless act remains unclear. It's hard to imagine what they are going through, having to relive the tragedy repeatedly during the trial. I really hope they eventually find some peace.
Hi everyone,
I've been following the case of Lamont Smith, and one detail that's really stuck with me is how Dwayne Reid had actually helped Lamont with moving equipment just before the tragedy unfolded. It's so unsettling to think about the betrayal of trust in situations like this—one moment they're working together, seemingly on good terms, and then the next moment, everything changes.
It's hard not to wonder about what was going through Reid's mind during those phone calls that morning, given how they seemed to shift from normal to ominous so quickly. I can't imagine how Lamont's family must feel, knowing someone he knew and trusted committed such an unthinkable act.
I hope they can one day find some semblance of peace and healing, though I know that won't be easy. My thoughts are with them and with Lamont's memory.
Take care, everyone.
I've been following the Lamont Smith case closely and can't help but think about the bittersweet nature of trust and betrayal in our lives. Hearing that Dwayne Reid helped Lamont move equipment just a day before the murder adds a chilling layer to this tragedy. It makes you wonder what conversations and interactions took place between them, and if there were any signs that things would escalate to such a horrific level.
Can someone shed light on the nature of their relationship? Did they have a history we aren’t aware of, besides the phone calls on the day of the shooting? It’s devastating for his family to lose someone they loved and shared their life with in such an abrupt, violent manner. I really hope they find the answers they need to get some semblance of peace after this nightmare. If anyone has more insight or has heard any updates on the motive, please share. Their story resonates deeply with all of us following the case.
