I've been following the Gilbert Drogheo case, and it's been on my mind a lot. Does anyone else find it perplexing how divided opinions are on this? On one hand, you empathize with Groomes, who felt he was in danger, but then there's the unimaginable pain of Drogheo's family, especially his mother. I can't help but think about those critical moments in Borough Hall station and wonder if things could have gone differently. There's so much to unpack here about citizen's arrest and self-defense laws. This tragedy doesn't sit right with me, and I'm sure it doesn't for many others. We can't forget that a life was lost, and a family is forever changed. It’s so crucial that discussions around the case remain sensitive to everyone affected. Does anyone know if there's been any further community response or memorials for Gilbert?
