I've been following Lewis "Big Lou" Wilson's case closely, and something that's been on my mind is the impact this whole ordeal must have had on his family and friends. It’s impossible to imagine the mix of grief and frustration they endured during the lengthy investigation and trial. I can only hope that the verdict brought them a sense of justice and some measure of peace amidst their loss. Big Lou was such a staple in the Amityville community, and from what I've read, he was a genuinely kind soul who touched many lives. It’s heartening to see how the community came together to support his family. Does anyone here know if there are any ongoing tributes or foundations set up in his memory? It would be nice to contribute to something that honors his life and legacy.
Has anyone else been following the strange detail about the phone records in the Big Lou case? I came across some info that during the investigation, the police had a hard time getting access to some crucial phone data. I find it odd that in a case with so much evidence, this was a sticking point.
It's heartbreaking enough that Lewis's family has to endure this pain and confusion, and it seems like every hurdle in the investigation makes it even harder for them. I can't imagine how frustrating that must be. Anyone have any insights on why these phone records were such a challenge to access, or if it affected the outcome in any way? The case is already such a tangled mess, and I just hope this wasn't a key piece that got overlooked.
