I've been following Coral O'Brien's case closely, and am really struck by the chilling fact that no one called 911 immediately after the gunshots were heard. I can't help but wonder if the outcome could have been different had someone acted sooner. It's truly disturbing to think that in a community setting like the Whitman Houses, such a horrifying event could be ignored or unnoticed for nearly an hour.
The silence of potential witnesses is baffling, and I can’t imagine how Coral’s loved ones, especially her kids, must feel knowing that help didn't arrive sooner. If only more community members felt safe enough to speak up or report what they heard. My heart goes out to Coral’s family as they navigate this immense loss and fight for the justice she deserves.
Please, if anyone knows anything, now’s the time to come forward. Even the smallest detail could be crucial.

Bad thing is,there's a killer on the road.

I looked for any public reporting of an arrest, indictment, or official “case closed” update tied to Coral O’Brien’s July 21, 2016 homicide at 56 North Oxford Walk (Walt Whitman Houses), and I’m not seeing anything that indicates the case has been solved publicly.

The most closest follow-up I can find is an ABC7/Crime Stoppers segment from December 1, 2017, which states the Brooklyn North Homicide Squad was “no closer” at that time and discusses a person Coral reportedly contacted shortly before she was killed who denied involvement; it does not report an arrest or identify a charged suspect.

Coverage from 2016 (including Patch and News 12) similarly describes the shooting, identification, and investigation without reporting any arrests. Ugh. Nothing new basically.

I can’t stop thinking about the role of technology in Coral O'Brien's case. It's really upsetting to know that despite all our modern advancements with smartphones and surveillance cameras, there were no immediate 911 calls after the gunshots were heard. Even more so, it's frustrating that there doesn't seem to be any digital trail that could provide more answers. What happened to her call records or social media activities from that evening? I feel like these could hold some crucial clues, maybe even tipping the case in a new direction. Her family and her kids deserve answers, and I hope someone with the right information comes forward soon. Is there a possibility that investigators missed something on this front? Thoughts and insights are welcome. Stay safe, everyone.
