Hey everyone,
I've been following the Norman Lyons case and learning more about what the community is doing to help, and it's given me a lot to think about. I came across some interviews with members of the New Orleans community who are really coming together to push for justice in these unsolved cases, including Norman's. It seems like there has been a lot of collaboration going on, not just with the police but also with local organizations and even residents who want to make their neighborhoods safer. It's inspiring to see that there are people who refuse to let these victims be forgotten.
One thing that struck me was how important these community-driven efforts are. From forming neighborhood watch groups to organizing peace marches, folks are actively trying to work with authorities by keeping their eyes open and sharing any tips they might have, no matter how small. I think this kind of grass-roots involvement is crucial, especially as it seems the police are stretched thin and can't do it all on their own. It takes everyone stepping up to protect and honor those we've lost, and to hopefully bring peace to families like the Lyons.
What are your thoughts on community involvement in solving cold cases? Do you think enough is being done, or are there other ways we can help push for more action?
