I’ve been following Maurice Lindsey's case and it’s just so deeply unsettling. Something that's been bothering me about this whole situation is the use of phones during the altercation. It's mind-boggling to think that instead of trying to de-escalate the situation or call for help, people chose to record it. I understand that tensions were high, but the fact that they stood by as this played out is just haunting. You have to wonder, could things have gone differently if someone had intervened instead of reaching for their phone? I can’t imagine the pain his family is going through—knowing that people had the chance to change the course of events, yet nothing was done. I hope justice is served and those responsible are held accountable. Sending thoughts to Maurice’s loved ones in this incredibly tough time.
