I was thinking about Parker's interests and how much they tell us about who he was as a person. This kid wasn't just a victim; he was a vibrant part of his community, with passions that brought joy to those around him. His love for basketball and soccer painted him as an active, energetic soul. It's painfully sad to think about how these activities helped shape friendships and memories, now tinged with loss. The part that really sticks with me is his involvement with the Junior Band. Playing the trumpet takes dedication and talent, and it makes me imagine him practicing at home, perfecting each note with patience and young determination. His music must have meant so much to him and to everyone who heard him play. For those who were part of his life, I’m sure remembering the sound of his trumpet or seeing his empty spot on the soccer field must bring a wave of emotions. How is the community doing now, years later? I hope they continue to come together, keeping Parker's spirit alive through shared stories and mutual support, just as they did right after this tragedy. The bonds we have, and the memories we cherish, are the best ways to honor someone as special as Parker.
