Hey everyone,
I've been following the tragic case of Esley Porteous and something that's been on my mind is the impact on his family and friends. I can't imagine the grief they're experiencing after losing someone in such a sudden and violent way. It's a terrible reminder of how gun violence touches so many lives, not just the victims.
I was wondering if anyone knows how the community in Canarsie is doing now? Are there any initiatives or support groups that have been formed in response to this tragedy? I hope there's a way for the neighborhood to come together and support each other through such tough times. It's important to keep the conversation going and ensure that Esley's memory is honored by working towards a safer community.
If anyone has updates or ways to support, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks for keeping this discussion alive for Esley and his loved ones.
Has anyone heard any updates on the Esley Porteous case? It's been over five years, and the lack of closure must be incredibly hard for his family and friends. I was thinking about how this happened in broad daylight, around 8:40 a.m., and yet, it seems there haven’t been any significant breakthroughs. It's unsettling to think there was an argument that could escalate so quickly to such violence. I really hope someone out there remembers something or feels compelled to come forward with any information, even if it seems minor. It could make all the difference in the world to Esley's loved ones and help the community heal from this tragedy. Would love to hear if anyone has new insights or ways we can continue to support his family.
