I’ve been following the case of Detective Nicholas Budney and something that's really been on my mind is the conversation around mental health in law enforcement. It's deeply saddening to think about the stress and pressures that officers like Budney face daily. It's heartbreaking to see such a vibrant life cut short, and it reinforces how crucial it is to have mental health resources readily available for those who serve and protect. I hope that his story leads to more open discussions and significant changes in how we support the emotional well-being of our officers. To his family and colleagues, my thoughts are with you during this incredibly difficult time.
