Has anyone else been following the case of Kevin Wayne Brown, known as "Barrow Head"? It’s so upsetting to see violence take another life and leave a family grieving. I came across some info about the area Kevin was killed in—the Seventh District—and it’s shocking how much violence there has been there. It seems like a tough neighborhood to live in with crime being such a constant issue. I just keep thinking about how his fiancée, Tameika, and the kids must feel, trying to navigate life without him.
What’s really sticking with me is wondering how much more could be done to prevent incidents like this. I mean, sure, the police are urging people to come forward, but maybe there needs to be more community outreach or resources in place to help prevent the issue at its root? Just thinking out loud here. Would love to hear thoughts on what else could be done to make neighborhoods like this safer. Hoping for some breakthrough soon for Kevin’s family.

I can't stop thinking about the Seventh District and how it's been struggling with violence for so long. It's honestly terrifying to think about how many families this affects.
Kevin seemed to be such a staple in his community, and it breaks my heart to imagine what his fiancée, children, and grandchildren must be going through. It's frustrating that cases like his often go unsolved, but I've been reading about how the NOPD is working hard, looking into cold cases with new forensic methods. I'm hoping they can get the break they need.
I can't imagine the pain of losing someone so suddenly and not having any answers. If anyone happens to have any information, it's so important to speak up. We all need some form of closure, especially his family. My thoughts are with them during what must be an unimaginably difficult time.
