I came across the tragic story of Kent Franklin, and I can't help but feel deeply for his family and friends who are left to cope with such a sudden and senseless loss. How did we reach a point where young lives are cut short over material possessions? It’s infuriating to see another life ended so prematurely due to the pervasive violence in New Orleans. I’ve read that the community has been working on various initiatives to combat crime, and I’m hopeful they can make a real difference. But it all feels so overwhelming sometimes. Does anyone know if there have been any candlelight vigils or community gatherings to show support for Kent's family? It seems important to come together during times like this, not just to honor Kent’s memory, but to strengthen the community's resolve against violence.
