I can't stop thinking about how this whole situation could have been different if the protective order had been more effective. It's scary to think that even with legal measures in place, Sade wasn't safe from Rivera's obsession. This case might open discussions on how to improve those systems, but it's just so devastating that it takes a tragedy like this to spark change. It breaks my heart to know that her life, and the future she could have shared with her kids and loved ones, was stolen in such a brutal way. My thoughts are with her family and friends. It must be a daily struggle for them, especially knowing she did everything she could to protect herself. I hope they're finding strength and support from their community, and I pray for some kind of peace for Sade's little ones growing up without their mom. If anyone has thoughts on how protection orders can be more effective, I’d love to hear them.
