I've been following the discussions about Officer Michael John Caddy's tragic death, and I just can't stop thinking about the overwhelming stresses faced by our law enforcement officers. It's truly devastating to see these brave individuals, who dedicate themselves to our safety, struggle quietly with such immense pressure. Officer Caddy's passing as part of a heartbreaking trend really shines a light on the urgent need for better mental health support within the NYPD. I hope his story serves as a crucial reminder that mental health resources need to be more accessible and that seeking help should never carry a stigma. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and fellow officers during this incredibly difficult time. Let’s keep these conversations going to ensure no more lives are lost this way.
