Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the role of intent in cases like Micah Welch's. It must be incredibly tough for his family to grapple with the claim that Martha Jones didn’t mean to kill him while knowing the impact of her actions. One thing that's really troubling to consider is how something like this can escalate so quickly from a disagreement to a deadly encounter. How should intent weigh into sentencing when reckless behavior leads to such tragic outcomes? Clearly, what happened was beyond horrible, and it’s gut-wrenching to see how a moment's decision can have forever consequences. Friends and family are left to mourn and question what threats were felt that night. This family deserves our support, and I hope they find strength as they move forward. What are everyone else's thoughts on how intent plays into these kinds of legal outcomes? Would love to hear what you think.
