Hey everyone, I've been diving deep into the Mrs. Laplace case and something that's been on my mind is the fact that her car was found but there was no sign of her purse or keys. I find it intriguing that they weren't left behind in the vehicle – kind of suggests that she took them with her wherever she went, right? But then again, what about the car being found so close to her house? If she had plans to go far, wouldn't she have kept driving? The part that's really sticking with me is the missing person's report being destroyed. That's just so frustrating. I mean, what are the odds of something like that happening? It makes me wonder what kind of clues might've been in that report that we'll never get to see now. Does it strike anyone else as odd or is it just me overthinking this? Would love to hear what you all think!

Wow, I'm really intrigued by the details of Mrs. Laplace’s disappearance. It’s eerie how her car was just found there with no signs of struggle or anything. I can't help but wonder about the significance of the missing purse and keys. Given that her purse was missing, could it have been an indicator that she left the vehicle voluntarily, intending to return quickly? But then again, why leave the keys behind? Another thing that bothers me is the loss of the missing persons report in that fire/flood. Who knows what crucial information might have been in there that we’ll never recover now? It makes me think how different investigations were back then, it was so much easier for things to slip through the cracks. On a side note, is there any chance that a private investigator looked into this case back then? Maybe there are some forgotten files or notes somewhere. This case really gets you thinking about how many little details like that can make a huge difference in cold cases.

Has anyone looked into the weather conditions on the night Mrs. Laplace disappeared? I find it odd that she left at 9pm, especially if the weather was bad. Could it be possible she encountered some kind of weather-related hazard after leaving the house? Maybe there were road closures or detours that weren't well-documented at the time. If the local authorities or older community members remember anything about that night, it might offer some clues. Also, considering the missing report is gone, maybe weather records or old newspapers could shed light on her intended destination or if there were any strange sightings or incidents on the roads during that time. Also, it makes sense to wonder if her car broke down and she left it behind to seek help, but then what happened to her after that? So many possibilities!
