I can't stop thinking about the two boys left behind after this tragedy. It's hard to imagine what they must be going through, losing both parents so suddenly and violently. Living just two miles from where this horrifying incident happened, it's incredibly chilling to know these things can happen right next door. Petula and Andre seemed like any other parents—focused on their kids and their future. I can't help but wonder who will step up to take care of those children now. They must be so confused and scared without their mom and dad. This case really makes me reflect on how crucial it is to support children through their grief. The healing process has to start somewhere, and I hope they have loved ones and community support surrounding them. If anyone local has ideas about organizing support for the kids or the extended family, it would be wonderful to hear about them. This community needs to rally together to ensure that these boys know they are not alone in the world. It's truly devastating, and I can’t imagine the pain of their loss.
