I keep thinking about Zion Millette-Selby's kids. Losing a parent is hard enough, but under such tragic circumstances, it's just devastating for those little ones. Zion was doing his best to make a better future, not just for himself but for his family. I've read how he was focused on carpentry and was close to finishing his training; it seemed like he was really on a positive path. It's such a loss for these children to not have him there to love and support them growing up. If anyone knows of any resources or support systems in place for his family, especially the kids, please share them. Keeping Zion's memory alive by supporting his loved ones would mean a lot. If there's a fund or community initiative, being able to contribute could help somehow.

I have been thinking a lot about how Zion Millette-Selby was back in Brooklyn visiting his grandmother when this happened. It's incredibly sad to think that he came back to spend time with his family and ended up losing his life. I can't imagine the pain his family must be going through, especially his grandmother, who he was visiting. It must be devastating for her to have lost a loved one just outside the comfort and safety of home. It's hard not to feel for his young children as well—they've lost their father at such a delicate stage in their lives. It's evident from what his friends and family have said that he was really trying to make positive changes for himself, moving to Virginia to steer clear of trouble and working towards a new career path. It's these kinds of senseless tragedies that really make you question how much more needs to happen before we see real changes in our communities to prevent violence. Zion's story really struck a chord with me; no one should have to live in fear when visiting family. Here's to hoping that justice is served soon and that his family finds some peace.

Has anyone else looked into Zion's background with Elite Learners, Inc.? From what I've gathered, this organization seemed to play a big role in his life after he returned from Atlanta and was working on his carpentry career. It's heartbreaking to think that amidst trying to turn his life around with real support, this tragedy struck. I'm wondering if anyone connected with Elite Learners can shed light on how he was doing there. Was he actively involved, or was he just starting? Their programs seem like a lifeline for folks trying to make positive changes, and it's a terrible loss that Zion wasn't able to complete his journey. Also, any updates on safety measures they've taken to protect others in their community-connected initiatives? My thoughts are with his family, especially his young children.
