I can't stop thinking about how brave Alison Salisbury was on that fateful night in Conklin. From what I’ve read, Alison was a friend trying to protect Shannon Brooks from a situation that had spiraled out of control. It's just so tragic to think that her life was cut short while trying to look out for someone she cared about. It breaks my heart knowing that someone so selfless and courageous was taken away so brutally.
Lance Johnson's history of violence and stalking is chilling, and it makes me wonder what more could have been done to prevent this. Why wasn't more attention given to his past behavior before it reached this horrific conclusion? It seems like the system failed Alison and Shannon, and it's deeply unsettling. My thoughts go out to Alison's family and friends; I can’t even imagine the pain they’re going through. As a community, we need to keep discussing these issues to ensure no more lives are lost to senseless acts of violence like this.

It’s tragic that it took such a devastating event for more attention to be drawn to this. Alison didn’t deserve this, and Shannon didn’t deserve this; both of their lives have been forever altered by his actions. Sending love to Alison's family in this incredibly difficult time. They deserve justice for Alison’s unconscionable loss and Shannon's painful ordeal.
