I've been following the Ariel Santos case closely and something that's really sticking out to me is the involvement of such young individuals in this crime. It’s incredibly distressing to see kids as young as 15 and 16 being caught up in such severe acts of violence. This definitely raises questions about what’s going on in the community and how these young lives take such drastic turns. It was mentioned that these suspects have ties to the "5zzly Crew" gang, which makes me wonder how much pressure or influence they might have been under. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain Ariel's family is experiencing. I read how his stepmom, Rosa Rodriguez, fondly remembered him as a musician who brought joy to others. Losing someone to violence is scarring enough, but knowing young people are being shaped by this cycle is deeply unsettling. Hoping that all the efforts by the authorities help bring some peace not only to Ariel's family but also prevent other youths from going down a similar path.
