Has anyone looked into the weather conditions on the day Crossan went missing? It's a crucial piece of the puzzle, especially given how tough those waters can be. I did a quick search, and it seems like tides in Cook Inlet can be incredibly treacherous, with variations that can really catch someone off guard. Maybe the strong currents played a significant role in what happened that day. If anyone has more info on how the tide patterns might have affected his route or if this area is known for other incidents like this, it could help piece together what might've happened.

Has anyone considered the possibility that the tides played a much bigger role in Crossan's disappearance than initially thought? I was just thinking about how powerful those tidal changes can be around Iniskin Bay and Cook Inlet. If he was struggling to fight the tide when he was last seen, it's possible that the strong currents could have pulled the skiff off course. It's pretty treacherous water out there, and the weather can change on a dime. Does anyone know if this possibility was ever thoroughly investigated, or if there were any additional currents or weather reports from that day? It just seems like the ocean might have more answers than we originally gave it credit for.
