I can't stop thinking about how Cory Allen's case highlights the impact of gun violence not just on the victims, but on entire communities. In the Bronx, where people are trying hard to create a safe environment, it's devastating to see lives senselessly lost over bar arguments that escalate to this level. I feel for Allen's family and friends; they must be going through so much right now. The fact that surveillance footage played a huge role in identifying the suspects speaks volumes about how crucial it is for communities to have proper security measures. While it’s good to see progress in the investigation, it’s also unnerving to think about how easily a night out can turn into a tragedy. I hope this case pushes for more awareness and concrete steps to reduce gun violence in the Bronx and elsewhere—it's a much-needed change.
