It’s been really hard reading about the tragic loss of Christian Santiago. As a mother myself, I can't even begin to imagine the pain his family must be going through. What stood out to me was the description of the chase that happened the day after the shooting. I can't wrap my head around how things escalated so quickly with DeLeon firing at the police! It’s terrifying to think of the danger those officers were in while trying to apprehend him. I hope they’re receiving support as well. Does anyone know if there were any discussions on improving police pursuit tactics after this case? It seems like such a critical area, especially when dealing with armed suspects. My heart goes out to everyone touched by this tragedy.
