I've been following the Luis Morales case closely, and I keep thinking about the actual moment it happened—broad daylight, on North Clinton Avenue. It just makes me shudder how something so horrific can happen when everything seemed normal just moments before. It’s more than unsettling to know that the street was suddenly transformed into a crime scene in a blink of an eye. How do folks in that area cope with the shift from feeling safe to relating that street corner with something so tragic?
The thought of Luis and the others being caught in such chaos is truly troubling, and makes you realize how fragile our day-to-day life can be. I've heard the Rochester Police have really been urging anyone with info to speak up. Hopefully, with community support, they can piece together more details and find some kind of resolution. My heart truly goes out to Luis's family and friends, who must be enduring such a painful loss, and to the other victims fighting through their injuries. These events highlight a very real issue, and it’s disheartening to see this happening so frequently in communities.
