Has anyone else been following the discussion around the effectiveness of protection orders in cases like Charisma Smith's? It's so upsetting to think that Charisma did everything she was supposed to do to protect herself, and yet it still wasn't enough. How is it possible for someone to violate these orders multiple times without facing serious consequences until it's too late? I've seen calls from her friends and family for better enforcement, and it feels like a critical point that needs to be addressed. Her story is just one of too many where the system seems to have failed. I'm hoping that in the wake of this tragedy, there will be a push to reevaluate and strengthen the laws to actually keep people safe. My heart goes out to her family, especially her young children, who have been impacted by this senseless violence. What changes do you all think could be made to help prevent these kinds of situations?
