Has anyone else been following the charity efforts that Ronnie's friends and family have been organizing? I came across a post on social media about a softball tournament they’re hosting in his memory. It’s going to raise funds for at-risk youth programs in Brooklyn. It’s so touching to see the community come together in such a positive way to honor Ronnie's legacy. It sounds like sports really meant the world to him, and using them to help kids seems like the perfect tribute. If anyone has more details or plans to attend, I’d love to hear about it. Maybe we can even help spread the word to ensure it’s a huge success. Thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones as they try to find ways to heal and keep his spirit alive.

I keep thinking about that candlelight vigil at McCarren Park for Ronnie Ortiz. It's incredible to see how many people showed up to pay their respects. The fact that it was held on what would've been his 31st birthday makes it even more emotional. It speaks volumes about the kind of person he was. You can only hope that all this love and support brings some comfort to his family and friends during such a devastating time. I didn't know Ronnie personally, but as a fellow Brooklynite, I can't help but feel a strong sense of community that he clearly inspired in people. It's moments like these that make me hopeful that justice will eventually come, not just through legal means, but through the stories and memories that continue to carry Ronnie's spirit forward.
