Hey everyone, I've been digging into the case and wanted to point something out that I found kind of puzzling. Our missing person didn't pick up his friend from the airport on the day before their hunting trip. Now, what strikes me is that he had been in Alaska for about six months by that point, running his business as the Ivory Runner. By then, I'm guessing he would've built up some local connections or at least a routine, right? So why vanish just when this trip was planned? Could he have stumbled onto something in his line of work, something that maybe led him to disappear? Also, has anyone looked into whether he had any big deals happening around that time? Just trying to piece together what might have caused him to miss such a significant engagement. Thoughts?

I’ve been re-reading the details surrounding the disappearance of the Ivory Runner from 1985, and something just doesn’t sit right with me about his sudden vanishing before the hunting trip. It strikes me as odd that he was already settled in Alaska for six months and seemingly comfortable enough to plan outings. Surely someone in his network or business circle realized something was amiss when he didn’t show to pick up his friend at the airport. Does anyone know if his business dealings at that time were thoroughly investigated? It seems like a potential angle worth exploring given the circumstances. Any insights or theories out there?
