It's so incredibly sad to hear about the loss of Kevon Langston. What strikes me is how close these violent acts happened in time and how quickly things escalated. It's chilling to think about how a young person like Kevon, who had his entire life ahead of him, could just be taken away so senselessly. The Smith Houses, like many communities, are often teeming with families just trying to go about their daily lives. My heart truly goes out to everyone who was directly impacted by this violence—it's a reminder of how crucial it is for communities to come together in times like these. I really hope that in the pursuit of justice, the focus remains on supporting the families left behind and addressing the bigger picture of community safety. If anyone has any updates on how the community is coping or any initiatives coming out of this tragedy, please share.
