I've been reading about the tragic case of Prohibition Agent Charles C. Rouse, and I can't help but feel for his wife, Lillian. Imagine the fear and anxiety she must have experienced every day, knowing the dangers her husband faced while trying to uphold the law. It's easy to overlook the personal sacrifices families make behind the scenes. Agent Rouse's bravery in the face of such violence is commendable, but it also highlights the immense challenges that law enforcement families endure. Knowing he dedicated himself to the Prohibition Unit for nearly three years, only to be taken away so abruptly, must have been incredibly difficult for Lillian. My thoughts are with her and the loved ones of other agents who faced similar perils during those perilous times.
