Has anyone else been following the developments in Lekeysia Byrd's case? I've been thinking a lot about how hard it must be for her family to cope with the lack of answers. It truly seems like the system is failing them, considering that there's been no significant movement or suspects identified after all these years.
What strikes me is the tight-knit community in Capitol Heights. I read somewhere that Lekeysia was pretty involved and knew a lot of people there. It seems so unfair to have someone so connected to the community just vanish like this, with no accountability or explanations. You'd think someone somewhere has to know something.
