It's just so upsetting to hear about the murder of Terran Young and Darrell Pollard. I can't even begin to imagine what their families must be going through. I was particularly struck by the fact that the crime was committed in such a public place at the intersection of Carrollton Avenue and Earhart Boulevard. It really makes you think about how brazen and dangerous these gang disputes have become. Knowing that they were targeted so openly is terrifying. The murder weapon being fired from that gold Honda Accord is another chilling detail that sticks with me. It's disturbing how something so commonplace—a car—became a tool for such violence. I'm glad the investigators were able to connect it back to Dwight Washington because it seems like anyone could've been hurt that day. Sending love to Terran and Darrell's loved ones during this incredibly tough time. Let's hope the justice brought to Dwight Washington offers some measure of peace, even though it can't bring back those lost. ?
