I was recently reading up on Louis's disappearance and noticed something curious about the location his skiff was found—Peratrovich Island. Being from the area, I know that island can be pretty treacherous, especially with unpredictable tidal currents. I wonder if anyone has checked tide charts from that night in 1989? It could offer some insight into where the skiff might have drifted before it ended up damaged. Just a thought, as it might open up more avenues for understanding what might have happened. ??
