Hey everyone, I came across something odd about the F/V Sequel case that I haven't seen discussed much yet. I'm curious if anyone knows more about the history of boating incidents in that particular area of Prince William Sound, just north of Story Island. From what I've gathered, the waters can be pretty treacherous, but could there be any local factors that caused the boat to capsize unexpectedly that day? I'm particularly interested because I read that Kristen and Sandra Hvatum were experienced mariners, so it seems strange for a sudden accident to happen without warning. Does anyone local to the area have insights or similar experiences? Would love to hear your thoughts.

I was reading about the disappearance of the F/V Sequel crew and it's baffling that both Kristen and Sandra Hvatum are still missing alongside the rest of the crew. It must have been terrifying out there—2-3 miles north of Story Island, where the waters can be unpredictable. Does anyone know how common it is for vessels to go down in that part of Prince William Sound? I've heard mixed reports about the weather that day, but nothing concrete. It makes you wonder how such an event could occur so suddenly. If anyone has more details on the conditions that day, it might help shed some light on what could have happened to the Sequel.
