I was reading about the tragic quadruple shooting on West Fayette Street, and my heart goes out to Gerald Thompson's family and friends. It's terrifying to think about how an ordinary day can turn into such a nightmare. I grew up not far from West Baltimore, and hearing about incidents like this one gives me chills.
I find it particularly disturbing that this happened near a place where many people go about their daily routines, close to the University of Maryland-Baltimore. I wonder if there were more witnesses who saw something crucial but haven't come forward yet. Sometimes people are afraid to speak up, but it could really help in solving this case. It's so important for communities to stand together and help bring justice for Gerald and the other victims.
