I’ve been following the Copper River tragedy and have been thinking a lot about the dynamics of survival in such accidents. It’s curious how three of the six people managed to make it out alive. The river's currents must have been incredibly strong, especially near Haley Creek, making it even more miraculous that anyone survived. I wonder if the survivability was due to their positions on the boat when it capsized or perhaps they had life vests on? It just seems like there are so many factors at play in these situations. My thoughts are with the families of Loren and Monte Kosa, hoping for any positive update. Anyone in the area who can share more about what conditions are typically like on that stretch of the river?
I’ve been following the news about the boat accident on the Copper River, and I’ve been thinking about the Kosa family. It’s baffling how quickly a fun trip can turn into a nightmare. Does anyone know if the search efforts are being supported with enough resources, like dive teams or additional boats? It’s crucial to cover every part of the river, especially near Haley Creek, given how unpredictable and swift that water can be. My heart goes out to the searchers; they must be working tirelessly in tough conditions. If you’re in the area, is there anything locals can do to assist or support?#printclairity
