Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact that Marcus Hendricks' murder has had on the Treme community. It’s heartbreaking to see how a place so rich in history and culture is scarred by the shadows of violence. Just reading about how no suspects have been identified yet is so frustrating. I know Marcus was more than just another statistic; he was a friend, a family member, and a beloved part of his community.
The memorial page for Marcus speaks volumes about the person he was. It’s touching to see all the virtual candles and messages from people who miss him dearly. It brings to light the true cost of gun violence—not just the loss of life but the ripple effect it has on everyone who knew and loved him.
I truly hope more people come forward if they know anything that could help the investigation. His family deserves answers, and Marcus deserves justice. If anyone in the community knows something, even the smallest detail could be the key to solving this case. Keeping them all in my thoughts.
Stay safe out there, everyone. ❤️

Hey all,
I've been following the tragic case of Marcus Hendricks and something's been really tugging at my heart. We're hearing so much about these incidents, but what's really jarring is that we don't have any clarity on the motive, and it seems like there aren't any suspects. It's unsettling to think that Marcus's killer is still out there, and it makes me wonder how many more families have to endure this kind of pain.
I can't imagine the heartbreak his loved ones are going through, especially with the holidays around the time he was taken from them. Losing someone close in such a violent way is traumatic enough, but to have no answers or closure must be unbearable. I hope that those who might know anything about what happened will find it in their hearts to speak up. Marcus, like so many others, deserves justice, and his friends and family deserve peace.
Our city has its challenges, but I've always believed that the people of New Orleans have big hearts. Let's not forget Marcus. Lighting a virtual candle isn't much, but it's a small way to honor him and show support, letting his family know that they’re not alone in this. If anyone has information, please contact the authorities; even the smallest detail could make a difference.
Sending love and strength to Marcus's family. Let's keep pushing for answers and change.
Stay safe.
