I’ve been thinking about the bravery shown by Amaru Amir Santos Johnson in those terrifying moments. It's so profoundly sad that a young man felt compelled to step in and stand up in such a dangerous situation, ultimately losing his life while trying to protect others. It's hard to imagine being in those shoes, and it’s a testament to his character that he acted with such courage. My heart truly goes out to his family and friends as they navigate this immense loss. It’s upsetting to think how senseless violence can strike and devastate lives, leaving a lasting impact on the community. I hope this tragedy serves as a wake-up call for more proactive measures in addressing crime and providing safer environments, so others don't have to endure what Amaru's loved ones are going through now.
