I’ve been following this case and couldn’t stop thinking about William Canales’s family and the immense pain they must be enduring. Losing a loved one in such a senseless act is beyond comprehension. What stands out to me is how William wasn’t even involved in gang activities, yet he became an unfortunate victim in something he had no part in. It’s terrifying to think about how quickly someone can be caught in the crossfires of other people’s disputes. I truly hope more community members step up with information. It’s crucial for justice that everything possible is done to take a stand against the violence plaguing the area. No family should have to suffer through this alone. My thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy.
