I've been following the discussion around Jeffery Quick, and it’s hard not to feel deeply saddened by the ongoing issues in Baltimore. There's one thing I've been curious about: What's happening with the effort to help the youth in Harlem Park stay safe? I remember reading about some community programs being started in response to these tragic events, but I wonder if they've made any impact. I hope there are resources for kids like Jeffery who deserve a chance to grow up in a safer environment. It breaks my heart that communities still struggle with this level of violence, and I can’t imagine the pain his family continues to endure. If anyone knows more about these community efforts, I'm interested to hear how things are progressing and how we might support meaningful change.
