It's really daunting to think about the impact that Kendel Lecompte's unsolved murder has had on his family and community over the years. I can only imagine the frustration and pain they must feel each day without closure. It's awful that 2017 was such a devastating year for Baltimore with so many lives being cut short. Our justice system has got to do better in solving these cases and providing answers. For those of us following the case, it's also worth discussing the wider societal issues at play here. The high crime rate that year seemed to overwhelm resources and necessities were stretched thin. Is there any word on whether the local community has been engaged to help tackle this issue? Maybe more community involvement or new initiatives could help shine a light on solving these tragic cases and prevent further loss?
