Hey everyone, I've been following Eric Staton's case closely, and one aspect that keeps gnawing at me is the location of the shooting. It happened right near the entrance of a Family Dollar. This is a place where people go for everyday things—groceries, toiletries, basics. It's supposed to be a safe spot, a community hub, not a crime scene. How did we get to the point where everyday errands can result in tragedy? It's truly saddening for Eric's family and friends to have to confront this loss in such an unexpected setting. You can't help but wonder about the person/people who witnessed it or were nearby. The trauma they must have experienced seeing something so horrific is unimaginable. I hope they're getting the support they need and that those who saw anything find the courage to come forward. Every bit of information, no matter how small, could be crucial. For anyone who feels apprehensive about speaking up, please remember there are anonymous ways to report information. Eric's family deserves answers and some semblance of peace. Let's keep this discussion going and hope that somehow, somewhere, someone has the key piece that will help solve this case. Stay safe, everyone.
