Hey everyone,
I've been following this case since it first happened, and my heart truly goes out to Collin Gardner Jr.’s family, especially his daughter. I can't even begin to imagine what she’s going through, knowing her father was so close, yet she couldn't be there to help or protect him. It's incredibly tragic that he was taken away right outside her home.
What really astounds me is the level of recklessness displayed by Parris Harris. He left so much evidence behind, from the gun to the photos on his phone. It's mind-boggling how someone could be involved in such a horrific act and not realize how quickly those pieces would fall into place.
The trial outcome was one step towards justice, but I keep thinking about the larger issue here: the persistent violence in Baltimore. It feels like a never-ending cycle, and though I’m relieved there’s been a conviction, it doesn’t bring Collin back. I hope the community can find some way to heal from this.

I've been following the Collin Gardner Jr. case quite closely, and one aspect that's really resonated with me is the role of cell phone technology in the investigation. It's chilling to think that someone's life can be pieced together through digital footprints. The fact that Harris was caught because of photos on his phone and cell tower records is a testament to how far technology has come in solving crimes. It's both fascinating and unsettling how our devices can become such pivotal pieces of evidence. I can't imagine the emotional rollercoaster Gardner's daughter must be experiencing, knowing that the technology we use every day played such a crucial role in unraveling the mystery of her father's murder. My heart goes out to her and the rest of the family as they navigate through this difficult time.
It's hard to even imagine the pain and shock Collin Gardner Jr.'s family must have felt, especially his daughter, who was so close to where this awful event took place. The fact that it happened right outside her apartment adds another layer of horror to an already chilling circumstance. This tragic incident is another grim reminder of how senseless violence can tear apart families and communities in an instant.
I was struck by how quickly they managed to find critical evidence against Parris Harris. It shows the importance of diligent police work and technology in solving such crimes. From the stolen car to the matching gun and cell phone pictures, the puzzle pieces fit together almost uncannily. While it won't bring Collin back, I'm hopeful that justice can at least offer some solace to his loved ones.
I genuinely wish the city of Baltimore, and especially the Cherry Hill neighborhood, could find a way to reduce such violence. Every story like this one feels like too much loss. My thoughts are with all who knew and loved Collin Gardner Jr., and I hope they find some peace in knowing that justice was served.
