I've been diving deep into the Christine and Dianna Meyer case, and I'm stuck on the part about the radio communication. Robert claimed he couldn't radio for help until reaching the shore, but he apparently passed another boat without asking for assistance? ? This just baffles me. I mean, if your wife and daughter are missing at sea and your boat's on fire, wouldn't you try everything to get help ASAP? Maybe there's more to this—was Robert trying to avoid witnesses or drawing attention? It seems suspicious that he'd wait until reaching land to raise the alarm. Anyone else have thoughts or any info on this halt in communication?
I’ve been following the Meyer case for a while now, and something that keeps sticking out to me is the boat itself—the Marjo. From what I’ve read, mechanical issues were mentioned multiple times during the trip, but does anyone else find it odd that it supposedly caught fire the way it did? Boats usually burn upwards from the engine room, but the evidence suggested the opposite. It’s so strange that the engines and daybed weren't burned as they should have been if the fire originated below deck. It might just be a small detail in the grand scheme of things, but it definitely raises suspicions about what really went down that night. Plus, Robert’s story keeps changing, and it honestly makes me wonder if the fire was just another piece of a larger, grim puzzle. Would love to hear if anyone’s looked into the mechanical aspects more or has any insights!
