I was reading about Montrell "Mont" Mouzon's case again, and one thing that stood out was his incredible involvement in activities like football and music. It breaks my heart to think of this promising young soul, so full of energy and potential, having his life tragically interrupted. I can only imagine how much joy he must have brought to his family with his trombone and lively spirit. The fact that the community hasn't seen justice for Montrell yet is just overwhelming. It really makes you wonder about the broader issues—how do communities rally together to ensure something like this doesn't slip through the cracks? It seems so unfair that someone who was such a positive force in his community hasn't received the justice he and his family deserve. If anyone connected to The Avenue Bears or Banneker Blake Academy is reading this, please share any memories of Montrell. Let’s keep talking about him, because his story needs to remain in the public eye until we find resolution. Sending strength to everyone who knew and loved him.
