I've been following the tragic case of Marryann Wellington, and I can't get past how crucial it is to focus on what might prevent these devastating situations in the future. It's heartbreaking to think that warning signs might have been missed, or that Marryann might not have had access to the support she needed. The ongoing discussions about domestic violence prevention are so important, and I think we need to push for more resources and education around these issues. A lot of folks don't know where to turn or what steps to take when they see someone they care about in a potentially dangerous relationship. I'm hoping that Marryann's story can bring about some positive change in community awareness and resources.
