Hi everyone,
I've been following the case of Dontae Patterson recently, and something that really struck me is the role of community involvement in these unsolved cases. It seems like so often, cases go cold because witnesses or those with information feel reluctant to come forward, perhaps out of fear or distrust. It's understandable how difficult it must be to speak up, but it's heartbreaking to see families like Dontae's waiting for answers and justice. I truly believe that fostering a safe environment where people feel protected and supported when providing information could be a game-changer in cases like this. What do you all think are some ways communities can work with law enforcement to bridge this gap? Any insights or stories about programs that have worked in other areas would be really helpful. My thoughts are with Dontae's family and everyone else affected by this tragedy.
