Has anyone else looked into the timeline surrounding Jose Merced Zamora after he fled to Mexico? I've been diving into old news articles and noticed that there isn't a lot of clarity on what he was doing between 2002 and his arrest in 2007. It's strange how he suddenly claimed Roberta left him, but why wait until he was arrested to mention it? Something just doesn't add up for me. Plus, given that he was involved in a serious crime, it's hard to take his word without any evidence. I keep thinking about whether Roberta could have been brought back into the U.S. unnoticed or if there's any possibility she made further contact with anyone. This angle seems so crucial, yet it feels like there are gaps in our understanding. Anyone else have thoughts or additional information on this?
I’ve been thinking a lot about Roberta Jean Raines' case and what role, if any, Jose Merced Zamora really had in all of this. It's always baffled me how someone could just vanish without a trace. Given that Zamora was involved in such a serious crime shortly after she went missing, it definitely raises a lot of red flags. But what really confuses me is his story about Mexico. Has anyone ever heard of any sightings or leads that came out of Mexico back then? It seems strange for someone to just up and leave like that with no leads whatsoever.
This whole thing makes me wonder if there's more to his claim or if it's just a convenient narrative. It feels like there's a piece missing somewhere, and I can't help but think there might be people out there who know more than they've said. It's been over two decades, but I still hope for answers for Roberta's family. There's got to be someone who remembers something, even if it’s a small detail.
Does anyone else wonder if there were other people who might have seen Roberta during the time she was supposedly with Zamora? I've been thinking about the kind of places they might have stopped at or people they could have interacted with on their way to Mexico. It seems like if they were traveling, someone might remember seeing them together, right?
I can't help but feel like there could be unturned stones along their journey that might shed more light on Roberta's disappearance. Maybe locals in the areas they passed through or people working in gas stations, restaurants, or motels during that time might have seen something without realizing its importance. It's just frustrating to think there might be clues out there, but time has blurred the lines. If anyone knows more about potential witnesses from back then, it would be great to explore that angle further.
