I've been following Jaheem Atkins’ case, and something that's been on my mind is the state of those city crime cameras. It's so infuriating to hear how they weren't functioning properly at the time of his murder. You'd think with the ongoing issues in Baltimore, making sure those cameras are up and running would be a priority. How many more cases might've gone unsolved, or been delayed, because these cameras failed to capture crucial evidence? My heart goes out to Jaheem's family and friends, knowing that this lack of available evidence could delay getting them the justice they deserve. This feels like a systemic failure that should be addressed immediately to hopefully prevent similar future situations. Does anyone have updates on whether the city has taken steps to fix or replace those malfunctioning cameras?
Did anyone else find it incredibly alarming how the crime camera near the scene wasn't functioning properly during Jaheem's tragic murder? It's truly unsettling to think that this case isn't the only one affected by faulty surveillance. As a community striving to combat violence, we rely heavily on these tools to identify perpetrators and seek justice for victims like Jaheem. His family, especially his mother, Angela, deserves answers and closure. It’s beyond frustrating to see such technical issues compromise investigations. Can we push for better maintenance and accountability for these systems in Baltimore? Such improvements might not bring Jaheem back, but they could potentially prevent future tragedies from going unresolved. Thoughts?
