I was scrolling through some old cases and came across Jennifer Hammond’s story again. It struck me because of the odd connection she has with Lake Desolation. I’ve read that her remains were found near there, but what keeps nagging at me is why there? Was that location familiar to her somehow, or is it purely coincidental that she ended up in such a remote area? I mean, it’s quite a trek from the mobile home park where she was last seen, right? Also, that whole door-to-door magazine sales job she was doing feels like it adds a layer of complexity. So many people she could have interacted with—potentially someone dangerous? Anyone know if investigators looked into previous stops she made with the sales group for possible similar incidents or suspicious characters? Curious to hear thoughts.
