I’ve been following the case of Tyreke Williams and one thing that really struck me was the role of the Baltimore Police Department's helicopter unit in apprehending the suspects. It’s not often discussed, but the use of aerial support can make a huge difference in time-sensitive cases like this. It sounds like their quick response was pivotal in tracking down the suspects and recovering important evidence like the stolen vehicle and weapons. It’s just such a relief to know that those resources were available and could be used to bring some sense of justice to Tyreke and his family. I can’t begin to imagine what his loved ones are going through, but I hope knowing that the community and law enforcement are working tirelessly to seek justice brings them some comfort. My thoughts go out to them during this incredibly difficult time.
